Q: What is kitesurfing?
A: Kitesurfing is the hottest new water sport out, that involves a power kite pulling you on either a directional board, similar to a windsurf board or a symmetrical twin tip or wakeboard.

Q: Do you need to have windsurfed, wakeboarded or flown a kite before?
A: No, but if you have flown a kite before or done any board sports it may give you an advantage.

Q: How long does it take to get going?
A: Three to four hours, depending on weather conditions.

Q: Is it dangerous?
A: Not in the controlled environment that we provide.

Q: Do you need to be able to swim?
A: Yes, you need to be able to swim a minimum of 25 meters and be confident in the water. Life jackets are supplied.

Q: Is physical fitness a key factor?
A: No, but it can aid in your kitesurf experience.

Q: Is there a minimum age?
A: If under 16, contact Worldkiteboarding direct.

Q: Do I need any special equipment?
A: No, but having your own lycra or shorty and harness may make you more comfortable in the water.

Q: Are the instructors qualified?
A: Yes, course taken with the International Kiteboard Organisation (IKO).

Q: Will there be full safety cover and first aid avaliable?
A: Full Safety cover is provided along with qualified first aiders.

Q: Can I take my own equipment?
A: Yes, but you may incure a carriage charge, and making sure that you and your equipment are insured.

Q: Can I hire equipment?
A: Yes, we have a good range of kites, directionals and twintips avaliable.

Q: Do you sell equipment?
A: Yes, we have a small selection of equipment for sale at the center and we are also connected to several local kite shop´s that sell several brands of equipment.

Q: Do you carry spares?
A: We carry a selection of spares for Cabrinha kites.

Q: Is there enough equipment for most wind conditions?
A: There is enough equipment to suit everybody for all conditions.

Q: What kites and boards do you use for teaching?
A: We use Cabrinha kites and boards for teaching in Coche and a range of mixed equipment in El Yaque.

Q: What is the minimum and maximum winds I can a person go out in?
A: Depending on the weight and ability of the person, it is possible to kitesurf between a force two and a force seven.

Q: How many people can be taught at one time?
A: Three/four per instructor.

Q: Do you do week / 2 week courses?

Q: If I can kitesurf already, what can you teach me?
A: To improve your technique and stance, better upwind performance, how to jump, how to get bigger air, grabs, forward/ backward loops, 360s/ 720s & board off tricks.
